Well, I've had a really hard time motivating myself to blog lately. I made doughnuts, twice, in October and actually learned quite a few good lessons and took some pictures to post, but just haven't gotten to it yet.
Also, I bought myself a sewing machine a few weeks ago. I barely know how to sew and would always do it at my moms house so she could help me put the bobin in and all the tricky things that go along with it. Unfortunately (seriously unfortunately) I no longer live close enough to my mom to use her machine so for my birthday Sean got me/suggested I get myself a sewing machine. With this whole diet thing its a low calorie creative outlet for me and I'm having lots of fun, and getting more confident every day. So far I've been working on top secret Christmas gifts for my siblings and moms that I can't post here because, well, that group is a significant percentage of my readership. I also made super cute polar fleece jackets for Maizey and Murphy. I'll try to take some pictures today to post.
My parents got me a fleece jacket for Molly a while ago from lands end. I've wanted to get the same for the baby dogs for a while, but I don't think they make them anymore... so I made them each one to match, and I'm fairly impressed. Maizey particularly likes to bite the front part of hers, and Murphy seems to like wearing his, but refuses to potty WHILE wearing it. Oh Well.
AND the main reason I wanted to post is that I've been spending a lot of time in JoAnn's lately, and most of their Christmas baking stuff is on sale and there's a really good set of tiny and average size Christmas cookie cutters (40 I think) there right now, if you want to pick up an all purpose set for under $10. Last year I spent at least $30 ordering individual Christmas cutters online. So be smarter than me and just go grab a set... you never know when you'll want a tiny penguin cookie cutter ;)
