Woah Baby: Part 2

Okay I really intended for the last post to be a lot longer, and include the screen shots of the invites that were the inspiration for the cookies. HOWEVER, I decided to eat an orange mid post and pulled my thumb nail just far enough back in the peeling process to get some juice in there and it burned SOOOO badly I just hit post before I had a chance to finish. So here are the invites...

Also, here are some pics from a shower I hosted in Sept. I did tons of onsies and duckies and wanted to shoot myself by the end of the night because i refused to do any 2 cookies the same. Seriously, who did I think was going to compare them and complain about having two patterns the same. Lesson learned on that one, it took forever to come up with creative ideas.

I also made a "cake topper" for my friend Emily. It didn't actually go on the cake, but I wanted to try making something other than a wedding topper.

Waoh Baby!

I guess cute cookies are a good match for baby showers. I mean its hard to comepete with tiny clothes and glowing women. Standard party food is ovbiously not enough... which is good for me because I've had lots of friends, and friends of friends having babies lately!

I did these cookies 2 weeks ago before I left for Seattle and they were done to match the invite.

Been Busy

Its been a while since I posted anything, or made cookies for that matter. BUT I have some fairly good reasons/excuses.

On November 21st husband and I left to go here...

And then we took a train through the chunnel to go here...

We stayed there for a few days and then took a night train to here... (hint: Florence) Which in spite of the constant rain and chilly weather was my FAVORITE stop.

We spent 1 night here...

On our way here...

We had an AWESOME time, with the exception of a stomach bug in Rome. We came back to Texas really late on Dec. 8th and on Dec. 9th we got this...

And honestly, I'm still pretty busy with her (not to mention her Doberman brother and Cavalier sister)! Somewhere in there we also celebrated Christmas, made a trip to Breckenridge for New Years, and a work trip to Seattle last week. I did manage to make some gingerbread cookies for Christmas, but couldn't muster the energy to decorate them.

Also, I've kind of found a new passion for sweets which require much less creativity (at least the ones I made) and are VERY delicious. I highly recommend checking out Bakerella.blogspot.com (theres tons of other great ideas there too!) and searching for cake pops if you're interested.

I'm back on the creative cookie wagon and really enjoyed making cookies for a friend's baby shower which I will post soon.
